The moon

In the Daily reports menu select The Moon:

A window pops up giving the local time of moonrise and moonset as well as the dates of new and full moons.

Remember that on any day the moon, unlike the sun, can set before it rises or rise before it sets! In the example above the moon is out in the morning before sinking below the horizon at 6.27 am. It rises again in the evening at 9.03 pm.

The phase of the moon is the percentage of the moons face that is illuminated. At new moon the phase is zero; at full moon it is 100%.
The phase of the moon is always shown for midday (12 noon).
