Printing star maps

This page covers printing, printing in colour and setting up your printer.

Printing:
Clicking the print button causes the map to be printed out.
The map is completely redrawn for the printer to take advantage of its higher resolution.
To make the map easy to use outside in dull light, printouts are in black on white and scaled to fill the page:

Printing in colour:
If you want to print a map in colour, first save it as a metafile and then place it on a page in, say, Microsoft Word.

Setting up the Printer:
Maps are normally printed in landscape on your default printer.
You can change this using the Print Setup dialogue box available from the File menu...

You can now choose between installed printers or select the orientation of the paper before printing.
